Last night I went to the studio and put together Way Back When #1 which will appear 8/26 on WBCX. The show is also going to re-air on Tuesday nights in the 6-8pm slot. It is with mixed emotions that we are apparently saying goodbye to Paul Hebert's Musical Memories and Jukebox Jamboree. These shows will always have a place in my heart and I would say about 50% of my desire to be in radio is thanks to these fine (and technically imperfect) shows.

Imperfection is a great way to start describing the first show. Some of the songs I had brought with me wouldn't install on the system, so I had to make a couple of detours. Although I was "voice tracking" and made some blunders and some bad cuts that are thankfully erased, the show has plenty of humanity in it. I think it's about as real and "live" sounding as a non-live show can get. I like how everything seems to come together anyway, regardless of how much I stress. Hopefully next time it won't take 5 hours to do a 2 hour show. But, I can't say that it isn't time well spent. I hope you enjoy it when it debuts next Thursday.
